To be a random card selection apparatus (shuffler) the cards need to be within the shuffler. The current ball games do not meet this qualifications. Changing the indicia or color does not negate the fact that the prohibited device is 100% present. The numbers are decoration only and have no affect on game play. When the moving ball comes to a stop, the card directly in front of the ball is removed from the shuffler and used as the decision point. In the picture above, the ball came to a rest and the card in front of it was the 23. Patents have been filed on this as an improvement to a mechanical device.
